As an artist, I immerse myself in the natural world, tracking the seasonal rhythms of wildlife to capture their essence. My research serves as a guide, noting the best times and places to sketch or photograph animals like the prolific hares of March the elusive foxes of April. Photography plays a crucial role in my process allowing me to explore different perspectives and motions before I bring piece to life at my bench in the studio. With patience and meticulous research, I handcraft each item, ensuring that every detail reflects the beauty of it's natural form and characteristics.
In my work, I harmoniously blend colours with the enchanting elements of nature and match them with qualities of gemstones to specific moods, properties and folklore. Each piece reflects a unique spell of magic and beauty, inviting viewers into a world where artistry and emotion intertwine.
My creations tells a story of inspiration and wonder. For example the Aurora reminds me of labradorite. The way the colours shimmer and move in different lights, the stratification of the aurora in the sky is mimicked in the stone beautifully creating lasting memories that can be cherished.
